How do I make an invoice for a job?
Type your company name, who the job was for, and each line you are charging: what you did, how many, and the price. Add your sales tax rate if you charge tax, then press Download PDF. Email or text the PDF to your customer.

How is sales tax figured?
Tax is worked out on the lines marked Tax, rounded to the cent, and added to the subtotal. Untick Tax on a line (labor in some states, for example) to leave it out.
What should be on a contractor invoice?
Your business name and contact info, the customer's name, an invoice number and date, a clear line for each piece of work or material, the total, and how and when to pay.
