Delete your TrackOver account
TrackOver is operated by TrackOver LLC (New Jersey). This page explains how to delete your TrackOver account and exactly what happens to your data.
Delete your account from the app
The fastest way, and it takes effect immediately:
- Open the TrackOver app and sign in.
- Open the menu and go to Profile.
- Scroll down and tap Delete my account.
- Confirm. Your account is deleted right away and you are signed out.
Or ask us to delete it for you
If you can no longer sign in, email support@trackover.io from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We verify the request and complete it within 30 days.
What gets deleted
Everything that is personal to you, on every company you are on:
- Your sign-in account and password.
- Your entry on the team roster (your name, email, phone, and pay rate).
- Your profile details and your profile photo.
- Your Social Security number and bank details, if payroll info was stored for you.
- Your location history, including the trail recorded while you were clocked in.
- Your saved devices and push notification settings, so your phone stops getting alerts.
If you are the only owner of a company
You will be asked to make someone else an owner first, under Team. Otherwise deleting your account would leave your company's jobs, invoices and photos with nobody able to reach them. If you would rather have the whole company deleted, email support@trackover.io from the owner address and say so.
What is kept, and why
Deleting your account does notdelete the company's business records. Work you created while employed there belongs to that business, not to your personal account, so the following stays with the company:
- Jobs, work orders, and job notes.
- Jobsite photos and files uploaded to jobs.
- Time entries and payroll history (businesses are required to retain these).
- Estimates, invoices, and payment records.
- Messages sent in company channels.
- Employment records the company must keep, such as your dates worked and pay history.
If you are the ownerof a company on TrackOver and want the company's entire account and all of its data deleted, email support@trackover.io from the owner address and say so. We delete the whole organization, including everything listed above, within 30 days.
Retention
Deleted accounts are removed from our live systems immediately. Encrypted backups roll off within 90 days. We keep records longer only where the law requires it, for example invoices and payroll records needed for tax and accounting obligations.
